Drocourt of Paris, a large gorge-cased, hour repeating, 8-day carriage clock, the fine gilt case fitted with a single-piece enamel Roman dial, chiming the hours and half as a passing strike on a coil gong, numbered 8100, bearing the company logo, 25 cm high (handle up).

Pierre Drocourt, who specialised in high-quality carriage clocks. The company had its main workshops in the Saint-Nicolas-d'Aliermont area and a finishing workshop in Paris at 28 Rue de Limoges (later Rue Debelleyme). Pierre's son, Alfred, took over the business in the 1870s, and the firm continued to win prestigious awards for its decorative carriage clocks.

Possibly an old replacement platform/balance.

Both trains wind, repeat works as expected, chimes ok.

Balance runs well with encouragement/agitation.

The right-hand side lens has an internal shell chip
