A London silver trifid spoon, late 17th century (?) bearing the leopard's head and lion passant but no date letter, maker’s mark I.L below a star .initialled T.D.H, with planished bowl. 1.5 ozt, 18 cm long.

A matching maker's mark is recorded in Arthur Grimwads book but on a salver and is dated to 1736, unfortunately, he did not ascribe a maker's name, the spoon is constructed in two parts and assembled, suggesting a 17th-century date.
