A fine late 19th-century Swiss musical box, by Mojon Manger and Company, serial number 28143 and stamped 'MMC', playing eight airs with six tuned bells, each of these with enamel flower decoration, zither attachment fitted over the comb. The movement is fitted vertically in a buffet style case, with twin doors and brass carrying handles, the figured walnut doors with inlaid mother of pearl decoration, 42.5 cm high x 65 cm wide x 25 cm deep.

In good working order, having been professionally restored (by Keith Harding Clocks & Musical Boxes, Glos). Some wear and losses to the case, but cosmetically good. No key for the cabinet doors present.
