A Charles I oak joint stool with a single piece top the frieze carved with lunettes and with turned slender cup and cover turned legs united by cross stretchers. 44 cm wide x 26 cm deep x 55 cm overall height, together with a small late 17th-century oak bible box with an inclined lid fixed by black iron external hinges, the frieze carved with Vitruvian scrolls. 42 cm wide x 26 cm deep x 26 cm high.

The top of the stool is of period timber but it is fixed in an unorthodox way and maybe an early replacement then carved to the edge by the Victorians.
