Whilst attending school in Paris from Autumn 1963 to Spring 1964, the vendor, an avid Beatles fan, had taken their Beatles records to school with them. During a concert held at L’Olympia Music Hall, Paris, where the Beatles were performing every night, the vendor became good friends with a girl who knew the Beatles from their early days in Liverpool and as Paris was not going through Beatlemania (unlike the UK and USA) the girls were able to have front seats at virtually every performance which also featured support acts, Sylvie Vartan and Trinie Lopez.

Through her new girlfriend, the vendor spent time with the group in their hotel between concerts, where they signed this album cover and photographs. The vendor remembers on one occasion in Paris whilst spending time with the group, a sculptor was also working in the Beatles busy hotel room creating a bronze bust of each of them.
