In the manner of Antoine Gaillard; a finely carved wood and gilt gesso fauteuil, 19th century, with ribbon cresting the back flanked by a pair of fluted turned columns with flambé finials above acanthus capped arms and bow fronted stuff over seat, supported by conforming turned and fluted legs with Ionic capitals. The inner seat frame stencilled MD741(?) 65 cm wide x 63 cm deep x 105 cm overall height, 45 cm to the seat top.

The frames have some knocks to the gesso as is to be expected , given the chair's age, the arm pads are threadbare but the fabric of the back and seat are viable.
