Condition Report

Both sides cracked in the panels, see images

A carcass top panel is missing from the stile and panel constructed carcass, under the marble slab

Some odd woodworm flight holes to the back panels

Drawer runners have been changed, so have the drawer stops (blocks on back frame)

The drawers show some signs of repairs to the bottoms especially the bottom drawer, its back looks a little clumsy in comparison with the others

A length of brass quadrant moulding is missing from the frame below the bottom drawer see an image of the bottom rail for clarification

Signs of old gimp pin repairs to some other brass moulding but very few

The reverse of the drawer fronts show some extraneous holes, however, these handles look in keeping and seem period apart from the horrible hex nuts

The drawers have a key but this does not work

The marble slab appears to be good

To sum up, the item is basically right but has had a series of running repairs over the course of its life and will require a few more to put into showroom condition

I have tried to be comprehensive in my list but it is possible some minor blemish has escaped me
