A Piero Benzoni 'Sun King - Louis XIV' pattern chess set and board, probably late 20th century, the figures in white metal with gold plated finish, each finely modelled and signed verso, on a conforming marble and onyx board, similarly decorated and with a rearing horse to each corner, the Kings 10.5 cm high, the board 52 cm square.
