A Post-Medieval intaglio ring, circa 1575-1650, featuring an oval glass carved with a Neoclassical bust gilded in silver and gold, the female figure represented has braided long hair with a hairband, wears a chiton fastened at the right shoulder, set in a collet edged with ropework border, shoulders chased with grapevine designs against a hatched ground, to a tapering D-section shank, yellow metal testing as high carat gold, ring head measures 18.9 x 16.1 mm, ring size X, total weight of item 10.2 grams.
