A George III mahogany stick barometer, by J. Search, Soho, London, c.1780, the silvered vernier scale in arched window, beneath three acorn finials, further signed to the lower scale, 103 cm.

Condition Report
The tube seems intact and shows a consistent column of mercury that responds either up or down with the reservoir adjustment screw, the spirit of the thermometer is evident and looks as if it responds to a finger placed on the tube (but very faintly)
Generally good order, and seems to be functioning, this is no guarantee of accuracy or reliability as with any antique scientific instrument..
