An unusual glass and enamel mourning pendant by Robert Philips made for Alexander Ewing, Bishop of Argyle and the Isles, the oval locket frame inlaid with black enamel, the glass decorated to one side with a purple Cross, to the other with the Bishop's initials and Ascension Day 1873, together with a lock of hair originally contained in the locket.
