Joseph Sydney Willis Hodges (1828-1900) British, a large portrait of Charles Townsend Murdoch MP (1837-1898), oil on canvas, 110.5 cm x 85 cm in a carved giltwood frame.
Provenance: Formerly displayed at the Whittington Hospital, North London. Murdoch had been involved in the setting up of the Great North Hospital, Holloway Road, nearby.
