In the manner of John Linnell, a good pair of mahogany horseshoe-backed salon/ library tub chairs, the channelled backs with hairbell and forget me not floral boss above swept back arms with formerly leather upholsterd elbow pads, the back comprised of a series of vertical carved splat bars with beaded and acanthus capped decoration above bowfronted seats and moulded square tapering front and outswept rear legs. 56 cm wide x 60 cm overall depth x 86 cm overall height, 45 cm to the current squab cushion.

Signs of former castors to the front legs, probably small ofset leather wheeled swivel library castors. Top rail joints are held with brass plates. Signs of repair to one back leg. The same chair has slightly loosening joints. Signs of previous padding to the arms. See additional images.
