Two Songye Community power figures, Mankisi, Democratic Republic of Congo, the taller figure with a horn charge to the crown of the skull with a triple fan of blades, the face with applied embossed sheet copper and copper studs, the mouth with three nails, the shoulders with applied studs, carved holding two smaller Nikisi, the hands either side of a swollen abdomen with vacant Bishimba recepticle, with bound Bishimba and animal fur power attributes, on wood stand, 104cm overall; the second figure missing its horn charge, the face, chest and arms with applied brass studs, with power attributes of metal bangles, strings of coloured beads and animals furs, 85cm
