Three Early 19th Century hairwork mourning brooches; the largest of which comprising a rectangular glazed compartment to centre containing hairwork bordered with seed pearls, to a black enamel surmount with gothic script, the swagged border in unmarked yellow metal testing as 9ct; together with an oval brooch of Ouroboros snake design, with diamond-accented eyes and black enamel patterns, centred glazed compartment encasing braided hairwork, with an applied royal cypher, pin-fitting deficient, in unmarked pink metal testing as 14ct; and a rounded rectangular sample, with a repousse border in unmarked yellow metal surface testing as 9ct.
