We are very pleased to report that our most recent auction on the 27th May achieved very strong prices across the 560 lots on offer.
We have adapted our business and both our domestic and international buyers responded positively to the innovations we have made such as safe private viewing by appointment, contactless payment, contactless collection and a range of courier delivery options. Enquiry levels are now on the increase and we are looking forward to a busy summer season.
With around 1,000 bidders online from around the world, there was strong interest and some excellent prices were achieved. Some of the sale highlights included:
A group of three Antonio Paoletti paintings of Venetian scenes. Sold for £28,000.
Lot 77. A sapphire bead, diamond and gold band bracelet. Sold for £2,500.
Lot 396. A 14ct white gold and diamond line bracelet. Sold for £2,500.
Lot 514A. A 19th century French boulle and ormolu mounted centre table. Sold for £1,200.
Lot 470A. A George III Scottish mahogany longcase clock. Sold for £1,200.
Lot 567. An 18th century flinklock pistol. Sold for £900.
Lot 521. A pair of 1970s Arne Jacobsen style 'Egg' chairs. Sold for £620.
Lot 575. 'The Close Chaplet', by Laura Riding Gottschalk. Sold for £1,800.
Lot 573 – A Naim high end hifi system and speakers. Sold for £13,300.
Lot 578. A collection of Vivienne Westwood vintage clothing. Sold for £2,100.
