An Andrew Logan 'Rainbow Brooch' is coming to auction!

Dawsons delighted to confirm 100% of the sale price achieved will go to the Islington Mind charity

One of Britain's leading sculptural artists has donated a wonderful 'Rainbow Brooch' to the charity Islington Mind, with a view to raising much needed funds for their fantastic cause.

02/02/2022

Jane Moody from Islington Mind had the pleasure of meeting Andrew on a trip to mid Wales, where he has his own museum dedicated to his art and sculpture.

Jane spoke to him about Islington Mind and asked if he could donate something to their wonderful charity... He said "Yes!"

Andrew then set about creating the 'Rainbow Brooch' which is made of glass and resin, and has a retail value of £400. We'd love you to help us raise as much as possible for Islington Mind in respect of this incredible item.

A message from the artist Andrew Logan, to go with the 'Rainbow Brooch' he has donated

Andrew Logan is one of Britain’s principal sculptural artists. He crosses cultures and embodies artistic fantasy in an unique and unprecedented way. From his early fame amongst London’s fashionable crowd in the 70s he has become an influential contemporary artist of international stature.

He is a contemporary of Zandra Rhodes, Maggi Hambling, David Hockney and the late Derek Jarman. He invented the Alternative Miss World, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
