Dawsons announce partnership with The Art Loss Register

Bid and buy with confidence at Dawsons

At Dawsons, we care about the items we sell and where they come from. To ensure that any client buying at one of our auctions can do so with absolute confidence, we are teaming up with The Art Loss Register, who have been protecting items and their owners for over thirty years.

Founded in 1990, The Art Loss Register is one of the world’s top due diligence providers and home to the largest database of lost and stolen art, jewellery, and antiques.

How do they operate? Search. Register. Recover.

In recent years, The Art Loss Register have started a number of initiatives to help make checking your items easier. In 2014, they launched The Watch Register service, a quick and easy way for watch dealers and buyers to ensure the watches they are selling are not stolen. The checks take no more than five minutes and can be done either in store or online to maintain the quick pace of transaction.

The team at Dawsons are delighted to be partnering with such an integral part of the fine art and antiques world. Click here to find out more about The Art Loss Register and all the good work they do.
