Lazarus Posen Witwe was one of the most notable German silver manufacturers of the 19th and 20th centuries. Founded and owned by a Jewish woman in Frankfurt in 1869, the company found success as the most popular distributor of silver Judaica objects. By the early 20th century, the company was granted a royal warrant and opened a second store in Berlin. Some of the pieces by Posen belong to the permanent collection of the Frankfurt Historical Museum and the Frankfurt Jewish Museum.

Condition Report
No damage or repair. The silver is heavily tarnished and in need of careful cleaning. Surface wear to the glass liner, commensurate with age and use.
