Georg Jensen; a rare 925 sterling silver four-row floral necklace set with amethysts, No. 1 design, comprising repoussé links in the form of stylised bud foliage and berries, collet set with oval and round amethyst cabochons, to a conforming clasp, 37 cm wide, 192g.
Literature: P 176 and 177 Georg Jensen Jewelry David A. Taylor; P 85 'A Tradition of Splendid Silver', Drucker. First design of Jensen for his jewellery line in 1905, normally would be a single strand, this is a rare piece with the four-strand version, which is made later in the 1930s.
