A Japanese Edo period porcelain figure of a Bijin with tied hair and wearing a floral and fan painted kimono in iron red, cobalt blue, and heightened in gilt. With a carved square, hardwood stand. 48 cm high (without stand ) x 20 cm wide.

Condition Report

Old repairs to the body of the figure and her left hand/arm is missing from her vacant sleeve. Her head has most likely been off as there are signs of restoration around the neck. There is a patch of restoration on her right shoulder. A small loss to the tie holding up her hair. A very large patch of restoration down her right arm and across her bask and to the lower rear section.
