A composite Queen Anne figured walnut double dome bureau bookcase with cross grain moulding throughout the doors with a pair of Vauxhall style plates with cut star motif at their apex, the interior of the upper section with pigeon holes and drawers, the book mated veneered fall opening to reveal a fitted interior with similar drawers and pigeon holes above a well, the base with two short over two long drawers, standing on turned bun feet. 105 cm wide x 58 cm deep x 231 cm overall height

Condition Report

Note the upper and lower carcass's didn't start life together but are by and large of the same era

Replacement plates, the interior of the top re-fitted sympathetically, some rear sections of return moulding missing

Replacements plates posts and bales.

The bureau bookcase is a decorative piece of furniture but to be clear is a marriage, some elements of moulding are replacements in long grain in one run rather cross grain but the whole piece has a pleasing colour but is not original throughout.

The right hand side lower carcass has a vertical split
