A documented George III mahogany 'Universal Table' to a design by Thomas Sheraton, early 19th century, the panelled square top strung with a parquet line above two sliding drawer leaves and a universal frieze drawer accessible from either side, fitted with a sliding base inset writing surface above hinged compartments each inlaid with incrementally monogrammed panels in pairs from A-Z, supported by square tapering legs terminating in brass swivel castors with offset wheels. 102 cm wide x 102 cm deep x 72 cm overall height, 57 cm knee height to the frieze.
