A Victorian silver 'Cellini pattern' ewer, by S Smith & Son, London 1880, with all over repoussé masks and scrolled foliate decorations, caryatid scroll handle and hinged cover, the front of the neck crested with ribbon engraved 'Tuebor (I will defend)', on a raised circular foot, 30.5 cm high, 904.8 grams (29.08 ozt).
With purchasing receipt from 1953.
