A fine George III silver teapot, London 1817 by Edward Farrell, the chased and embossed decoration in the manner of David Teniers, depicting musicians and drunken revellers in tavern scenes, the finial modelled as a reclining man smoking a long pipe with drink in hand, a dog beside him, scrolled wooden handle and stylised mythical beast spout, the four feet of anthropomorphic design, depicting lions in human clothing, 17.5 cm high x 25 cm wide, 36 ozt.

In good condition with no apparent damage or repair. Some light surface scratches evident to flat areas.
