Star Wars: a rare collection of original period memorabilia, comprising a Stormtrooper replica helmet, injection-moulded and stamped '20th Century Fox', this being the first issue style produced by Don Post Studios, circa 1977, (later editions were modified, and included clear eye lenses with lighter PVC plastic moulding), the helmet measuring 27 cm high x 22 cm wide, together with a rare collection of original crew badges for both Star Wars Episode IV and Episode V, The Empire Strikes Back. These items were designed and produced by Quick & Fabulous, a Maidenhead-based company specialising in producing costume designs and accessories for film and television, and included is original paperwork relating to their order and manufacture, some with handwritten notes on headed 'Star Wars' stationery, requesting that items are marked for the 'attention of Barbara Harley' [Production Assistant for The Empire Strikes Back and Assistant Accountant for Return of the Jedi]. Original artwork for the Empire Strikes Back badges is also present, to include annotated notes on colours. The lot also included an original poster for 'The Empire Strikes Back - 'Coming Soon to a Radio Near You', designed by Ralph McQuarrie in 1983, for the ten-part radio series for National Public Radio, voiced by some of the original cast, the poster 64 cm x 42.5 cm framed and glazed.

Private collection, from the deceased estate. The owner was involved with Quick & Fabulous in Maidenhead, latterly Fabb Bros. Ltd, with the Stormtrooper helmet, by repute, being given as a gift by Ralph McQuarrie to the owner's wife, during the period of the first Star Wars film being filmed in Elstree.
