A Victorian opal, garnet, diamond, ruby and sapphire set butterfly pendant. The oval cabochon opal measures approximately 12.5mm x 8mm x 3.2mm. The round cabochon garnet measures approximately 6.1mm x 3.3mm. Set with rose-cut diamonds and old-cut rubies and sapphires to the wings, with sapphire-set eyes. The yellow metal is unhallmarked and tests as 14k gold. The length of the pendant is approximately 4cm, with a later added pendant bail which also tests as 14k. Gross weight 12.5g.
