Continental School, 19th century  possibly by Hubert Von Herkomer (1849-1914), depicting a seated lady by the five place, wearing a long shawl and a ribbon woven in her hair, a cat asleep by her chair, monogrammed and dated lower left 'H.H '76', oil on wood, within a gilt moulded framed, the reverse with hand written paper label reading 'Artist: H. Herkier, 1876, prepared by R. Newton, Rathbone place Lon(d)on, for His Royal Highness', and further printed label on the wooden panel with similar part ripped label with text, 20.5 cm x 11.5 cm.
