George Vicat Cole RA (1833-1893) British depicting a landscape of deer in a park, signed and dated lower left 'Vicat Cole, 1876', within an ornate gilt wooden frame, oil on board, 28.5 cm high x 44 cm wide. His works were very popular in the Victorian era, drawing his subjects from England, Wales and Scotland. He exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1853-1893, where his talents as an artist were compared to those of Benjamin Williams Leader.
