A Chinese carved wood and lacquered seated Emperor, Ming/Qing, wearing a relief moulded dragon robe, his right leg raised to his waist, in gilt and coloured pigments, 21cm; a soapstone figure of Li Tieguai, resting on his crutch with a double gourd on his shoulder, 18cm; an agate figure of a deity holding aloft a bowl and a fuchen, a dragon issuing from clouds, on wood stand, 14cm; and two soapstone carving of immortals Li Tieguai and Lu Dongbin, painted in black & red pigments, standing on rocks, 23cm & 24.5cm

Condition Report

The wood figure has some gilding missing from the rear and top of the hat, with small losses throughout, otherwise in good condition.

Li Tieguai is in good condition, though there is some glue residue where he joins the base, with no obvious faults.

The agate deity figure is in good condition, with no obvious faults.

The soapstone Li Tieguai has had his head broken off and glued back on, his left hand restored, chips to left foot.

The soapstone figure of Lu Dongbin has had his head off around the shoulders and glued, a chip to the front of his hat, scroll has been broken in half and glued, small chips to his robes.
