A William and Mary oak chest of small proportions, the four variously sized drawers with moulded geometric decoration, brass teardrop handles and escutcheons, on front bun feet. 98 cm x 51 cm x 82 cm high.

Condition Report

Some of the handles are probably replaced, the top frieze drawer shows signs of previous handle to one side (see photo), which would suggest they might have all been replaced as they are the same size and model exactly. There is a horizontal split to the exterior of the middle drawer, the timber panels constituting the base of the two last drawers have a gap between them, there are woodworm holes to the sides and back of the chest and surface scratches commensurate with age. Top replaced or repolished.
