A pair of 18th-century architectural studies one of a cloistered cathedral interior, the other of an Italianate doorway with military figures, both within moulded wood and gilt gesso frames. Condition Report

We believe both of these works are original watercolours. There appears to be some minimal water damage/smudging on both. A few minor pin holes to both as per photos.

Apparently both unsigned with no obvious inscriptions.

Frames both structurally sound with minimal losses to gesso/gilding and few dead woodworm holes.

We assume that the 'Figures in a Gothic church pencil and watercolour' is one of the Dawson's pair offered in this auction, and the Italiante scene is from another source.
