A Chinese famille verte vase, late 19th century, depicting women and children upon a kylin, one holding a parasol and a child holding a banner, a poem verso, with lion mask and ring handles, together with a later Peoples Republic period vase, with panels of birds amongst rocks and flowers, six character Jingdezhen Zhi seal mark, 41.5cm & 47cm respectively

Condition Report

The 19th century vase with a restored but unpainted chip on the rear rim, visible on both the upper and underside, from which issues a very fine 8cm hairline crack. There is also a 6cm crack on the rear neck, but this is an internal fracture beneath the glaze. The later vase 2cm restored rim chip, again not painted to match. No signs of any cracks.
