The Oakley Square Vicarage was built by John Johnson (1807-1878), the architect who designed Alexandra Palace. This arch equally may have been part of the adjacent church of St. Matthew which was bombed in WWII and possibly salvaged by Nancy.

The arch is in good structural order but has 2 cusp/ leaf detail missing from one side of the arch also the arch top shows a slight gap where possibly an open spiral finial once was.
