A late 18th century English school a seated half-length portrait, the sitter believed to be Mary Mee (1752-1805), wife of Henry Temple, 2nd Viscount Palmerston, and mother of the future Victorian Prime Minister, Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston (later Lord Palmerston), she's dressed in a fine fur stole and lace, oil on canvas, 64 cm x 54 cm in a moulded gilt frame.
