A pair of Chinese copper red fish & dragon bowls, Qing, 18th century, each interior decorated with four fish around a floral centre, the exterior with four dragon medallions interspersed by clouds and Buddhist symbols, the eyes of all picked out in cobalt blue, each with applied ink inscribed collectors stock label, 18.5cm diam, 7.8cm high

Condition Report

One bowl with small rim chips and fritting, but no obvious signs of cracks or restoration, rings out nicely when lightly tapped. The second bowl has numerous rim chips and fritting, a 6cm hairline crack issuing from the rim, still rings out when lightly tapped.
