Two original mid-1930s Art Deco gouaches by Gwendolen K. Young each with stylised nautical themes and motifs, including a ship's funnel and waves, mounted together, framed and glazed in a black Nielsen metal frame, together with another two by the same hand depicting surreal architectural and geometric motifs, mounted together. Frame 51cm wide, 41cm high. Although they date from the 1930s, these have a strong Postmodern feel, presaging this style movement of the 1970s-80s.
