A Japanese Arita Imari bowl, 18th/19th century, painted with shishi amongst peony beside a panel of birds on a bamboo shoot, the exterior similarly decorated with peony, bamboo and birds, on a channelled foot rim, 25.4cm diameter, together with a further 19th century Imari bowl, 25cm diameter

Condition Report

The first bowl with no obvious faults. The second bowl has a rim chip from which issues a hairline crack almost reaching the foot rim. It also has a second rim to almost foot rim hairline crack.
