A 19th-century Yemeni Jambiya dagger, the tapering horn handle decorated with applied brass roundels detailing Arabic inscriptions in foliate borders, the grip with applied white metal studs before a looping key border, the wooden scabbard with applied silver mounts decorated with finely detailed symmetrical filigree and studs, beneath a finely detailed threaded coloured silk and wirework covering, on a canvas-backed belt decorated with finely threaded cotton and wirework, with applied silver filigree and brass looping mounts with a filigree compartment and a cylindrical vessel, the belt complete with an embossed and pierced buckle, one-piece with cartouches detailing Arabic text. Blade length 18 cm, the belt 70 cm long.
