A pair of English George III needlework samplers, completed by sisters Harriot Crouch (aged 11 years) and Mary Ann Crouch (aged 10 years), dated 1825, the former with religious verse, each with foliate decoration within a repeating stylised border, 50 cm x 32 cm, glazed in oak frames. They come with a copy of paperwork from when conserved and restored in Canada (1986).

Condition Report

Some fading and staining, but have been professionally conserved and restored as mentioned. Small holes evident to the Harriot Crouch sampler.
