Lot 172 - Four early - mid 20th century English studies...

Four early - mid 20th century English studies of Indian landscapes  one, a pencil study detailing a vast tree with figures and cattle resting beneath it's foliage, titled 'Banian tree (sic) on the Barrackpore Road near Coxe's Bungalow, H.H.J Fecit March 15th 1825, 26.5 x 38 cm, a pen and ink study of a large stone-built military compound with large Union Jack flag raised before tumultuous skies, indistinctly signed lower right, 20.5 x 37 cm, a smaller pencil study of a temple and distant abodes through foliage titled 'On The Barrackpore Road' dated October 22nd 1824, 20 x 25 cm and a pen and ink drawing 'The encampment at Hadjifsore November 19th 1831, 17 x 25 cm.
