A Tchokwe (Chokwe) Pwo mask, Democratic Republic of the Congo, with linear coiffure, a relief carved cruciform scarification to the forehead, with further arks to the cheeks, coloured in a red/black pigment throughout, 26cm; and a Senufo mask, Ivory Coast, with linear coiffure, scarifications to the forehead, cheeks and sides of the mouth, 40cm; and a Urhobo Ohworhu mask, Nigeria, a pointed headdress before a central mallet shaped stem all painted in white kaolin, the face painted in thick red pigment with kaolin white eyebrows and ears the linear scarification picked out in black, the outer edges pierced, 49cm
