A 19th century or earlier incised Tongan War Club or  apa'apai / Akau Tau (Polynesian Kingdom of Tonga) possibly ironwood or casuarina, of tapering 'crocodile head' form, the shaft incised in the round with panels occupied by bands of geometric zigzags running in differing directions, terminating in a splayed rounded head with further incised detail of crescent moons and stylised fish, the opposite end terminating with a looping carved notch, 100 cm long, of  Tribal / Oceanic / Papua New Guinea / Polynesian interest.
