An early 18th-century regional fruitwood, elm, ash and walnut parquetry topped lowboy, the first quarter of the 18th century. The top with inlaid geometric starburst motif. Fitted with a long frieze drawer a further two short drawers and a narrow candle drawer, all fitted with staple fixing swing, backplate or knob brass handles. Supported on cabriole legs terminating in pointed pad feet. 76 cm wide x 49 cm deep x 68 cm high.

Condition Report

The drawer lining are a mixture ranging from walnut fruitwood and pine all show signs of later pinning this could have been as a result of hack repair attempts

Some of the drawer runners seem a little fresh and it is possible that these were replaced when the drawers were pinned.

The carcass shows good proud standing draw pegs and a good patina.

To sum up, I think this is basically a period but has had running repairs to stay functional.
