A fine carved mahogany and gilt gesso Bergere, probably English, George III but in the French taste, with horseshoe back and paper scroll moulded detail terminating in well-carved acanthus scroll arms above a serpentine seat. Supported by stop fluted turned legs fore and aft. 64 cm wide x 65 cm deep x 90 cm overall height, 45 cm height to seat.
