A large parian sculpture of Leda and the Swan in the manner of Jean Thierry (1669-1739) French, modelled as the young Queen of Sparta sat on a rock wearing a necklace and shellwork diadem in her hair, stroking the disguised god's swan neck, on a naturalistic base, 85 cm high x 44 cm wide.
