A Victorian red leather covered dispatch box with tooled gilded initials 'G.G' below a crowned VR device, believed to have been originally owned by the famed explorer and Governor of Australia and New Zealand George Grey (1812-1898), with a looping lacquered brass looping handle to the hinged lid above a central lock, 12 cm high, 30 cm long.
