A late 19th century Anglo/Indian carved wood work box of sarcophagus form, with ebony and ivory inlay, the hinged cover opening to reveal a sectioned interior, containing covered compartments and ivory screw-lidded pots, the exterior with twin brass carry handles, on four bun feet, 32 cm wide x 23.5 cm x 15 cm high.

Condition Report

Loose hinge to one side. Some losses throughout, small losses of inlay to each corner of the lid. The lugs to withdraw the interior tray are missing. Still an attractive box in generally good condition. Age cracks to the central panel of the lid.
