Condition Report
The chest is basically right but has had some rather crude repairs, I will list them below:
The brushing slide had warped and was eased by planing the highspots down and then the original blocks stop replaced with glued plywood blocks
The drawers have had some replacement locks and the second drawer from the bottom has been forced and has split out the housing this has had an old block repair with a crude patch to the drawer divider
The handles seem to be original but have had a succession of nuts applied over the years
The backboards have been off and re-fixed at some point probably from being pushed off by a drawer riding over a drawer stop
The drawer runners will need some work, and the wear pattern on the dividers corresponds with the running of the drawer bottoms/sides
There is a section of timber missing from the interior side I think this has been like this since it was constructed.
