In the manner of Jean-Henri Riesener a Louis XVI style satinwood and mahogany bureau plat, English 19th century, with" trellis and "domino" parquetry detail and the top inset with a shaped and tooled leather writing surface, above a pair of short frieze drawers and a raised entablature the table with gilt metal mounts and cappings throughout. Supported by screw fitting square tapering legs terminating in socket castors. Bearing an applied embossed brass collections label with the legend KG 8913. 122 cm overall width x 69 cm overall depth x 77 cm overall height

No apparent major defects

The legs are on long threaded bars, see images

Some slight chips around one keyhole and a small clumsy patch to the other , see images

Some marks and slight dents as to be expected with age.
